"Over 20 years Victoria Symes (MCIoF) has played key fundraising roles for the London School of Economics, English Heritage, Science Museum, St Mungo's, British Film Institute and University of Liverpool before founding impact fundraising, a fundraising consultancy providing strategic advice and bid-writing support to cultural, heritage, health and education organisations across the UK. Victoria has successfully used the power of storytelling to secure grants from £5k to £5m for revenue and capital projects. Her experience with hospices includes Dr Kershaw’s, St Ann’s and St Joseph’s and she also has a wealth of experience from other health-related causes including Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and Manchester NHS Foundation Trust.
In this practical workshop Victoria will draw on some of the best examples of loved novels and storybooks to demonstrate how to use the same storytelling techniques in your hospice funding applications. After applying these principles to real charity examples, you will be invited to put your own skills to the test.
